About Kate...

Hello Postcrossing friends! I have decided to retire this account for now, because my primary account and swapping seems to be keeping me busy enough. ;) Please be sure that I will still register any outstanding cards promptly. If you would like to swap, contact me at my primary account:

Thanks! :)

My name is Kate, and I live in Salt Lake City, the capital of Utah and home of the Mormon Church. (Plenty of us who live here are not Mormon, myself included :).) We are twenty minutes away from seven world-famous ski resorts and the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. I am an instructional designer, and live with my brand new husband and our pets, a dog and a cat. We have a very happy life, and I hope you will tell me all about your life too. :)

*I love ALL postcards, please send any card you love.*

Some things I enjoy in life: good food, beer and breweries, coffee, the outdoors (hiking and camping!), birdwatching, growing fruits and vegetables, hookah, visiting new places in my town or somewhere else (especially restaurants!), reading all genres of books, feminism, National Geographic magazine, playing video games, warming myself in the sunshine, history, knitting, college football (the American kind), maps, Clemson University, the beach, the mountains, music (folk, bluegrass, retro rock, alt-country, some pop), playing the piano, Reddit, learning the harmonica, playing with my dog and cat...and...and... :)

If you don't know what to write on your card, tell me about the restaurant, cafe, or pub that I should visit if I ever come to your town or region. Enjoying food and drink when I travel is one of my favorite things! :)

Although this is a newer account, I am a veteran Postcrosser and have received many postcards, which you can see here:

PS - Thanks for reading my profile. If you're still not sure what to send, I love learning about where you live, so viewcards, maps, culture, etc will always make me happy. Happy Postcrossing! :)
