About Molly...

I work in a children's museum just outside of California's capital city of Sacramento, the city of trees. My job is to program classes, camps, and pop-up activities for visitors to the museum and manage the membership, all of which is a really fun way to spend your working day! I feel that it is the responsibilty of civic organizations, especially ones serving children, to be fully inclusive and fully diverse, introducing them to and educating them about people all over the world of all different colors, nationalities, cultures, religions, abilities, etc. Two of my programs center around children with special needs, as that is a group of children especially close to my heart. I have a 16 year old daughter with high functioning autism, and I hope to give back as much as she has gotten in support and kindness and love from the community that helped me to bring her up.

As for hobbies, I write children's books, but haven't published any so far. I plan to start trying soon. I read a lot, write a lot, paint, draw, make protest oriented mixed-media collages. I am learning to play the harmonica and the ukulele and I have a secret dream to front an 80's era cover band. I also like to binge watch seasons at a time of my favorite Netflix BBC police procedural shows: Luther, Wallander, Shetland, Marcella, The Hinterlands, Top of the Lake, The Fall, Happy Valley, The Doctor Blake Mysteries, etc.

Tell me anything about yourself! I'd love to know your favorite painter, or song, or band, or tv show, or quote, or hero. I'm not particular about postcards or stamps. Cheers!
