About Maerose...

Hello, fellow Postcrosser! Peace be with you! 🕊️

My name is Maerose. I'm a 33 y.o. geriatric nurse, working in four different hospital wards. I live with my darling husband, and we're humans to our adorable housecats, «Missy» (3 yo) and «Maxx» (1 yo). https://www.instagram.com/missyandmaxx

During my free time, I love to travel and experience new things. So far, I have visited (some re-visited many times) 35 countries: https://pinayodyssey.com/countriesandcounting/. I've also been in all the regions of mainland Norway. :-) Oftentimes, I bring Postcrossing with me and send cards on Travel Mode.

Postcrossing is in my "self-care kit". It makes me happy. Other hobbies of mine are geocaching, blogging, reading, writing/decorating my journal and postcards, scrapbooking, playing Wordfeud/Sudoku/June’sJourney on app, cross stitching, aimless crocheting, paintingbynumbers, diamondpainting, and studying (I have 2 bachelor degrees and a master's degree.) ♥

If you could send regular sized (11cm x 15cm) postcards, I’d be very happy because I keep them in albums. But send whatever size or shape you want/have. I also appreciate what you write on the back. Maybe an introduction to who you are, your hobbies and interests? Your best or worst travel experience? Hospital experience? Your favorite quote or mantra, perhaps?
Please remember the DATE and ID number. ;-) Postcards in Favorites are already received. No envelopes, please. Here's how I store my postcards: https://pinayodyssey.com/2023/07/01/postcrossing-how-i-store-my-postcards/

I especially love these themes (suggestions):

♥ Inge Löök (I'm missing: no. 78-100, 102-107, 110, 111, 113, 115-120, 122-209, 211-226, 228-607, 609-611, 613 and above) :)
♥ tourist postcards; with a view / views of the country you are sending it from. Friends from DE: Postcards by Schöning Verlag are nice. Not a huge fan of calendar cards like from harenberg. :)
♥ map cards, UNESCO WHS, lali cards, castles, cats, babies, reading, medicine/nursing/healthcare, glittery designs
♥ Birthday cards around May 7th 😄

I register all the cards I receive. ♥

Cheers,
Maerose

PS. I'd like to scan and post the picture the way they look when I receive them - either in perfect condition or with battlescars aka dents from travel, etc. Please don't cover the information details, and translate if in special characters like Chinese, Russian, etc. Thanks! :-)

PPS. A moment of silence for all the expired cards that vanished into thin air or never made it to their destinations, or simply were hidden in the shadows. 🦋
