About Heidy...

Hi all you postcrossers...
I'm a 73 yr. young retiree, having worked and enjoyed many yrs as an project accountant for infrastructure projects at a major hospital.
I live in Calgary, Canada - a lovely friendly vibrant prairie metropolis renowned for its Stampede, Zoo, Heritage Park, Spruce Meadows, & its proximity to the famous Rocky Mtns. ....all worthy of a look on-line.
I have several interests: everything dogs, flower gardening (irises & peonies), handicrafts (crocheting, designing and creating cards, some sewing), reading (legal, spy, political, military thrillers & history), BUT ESP. travelling & writing (describing to the reader as if he/she can't see or hear) - so postcrossing is a perfect fit for me.
People are soooo interesting, .."Variety is the spice of life, Gratitude is the secret of success, and along w. some positive "dis"es: discipline, discernment, & discourse there is the wonderful discovery of LIFE, LOVE, LAUGHTER, & LEARNING :-) Think young, stay fit, & enjoy (look for) the good around you and you will have fun anywhere.
Much as I love dogs, I would really like to find some of the following pictures in my mailbox, too - yet I'm thankful for whatever you choose to send, and would like to hear why you chose it.
- elephants, owls, pandas, otters - dancers, figure skating
- art: cartoons, illustrations, sketches, murals, geometric designs
- waterfalls, sunsets / sunrises, icebergs, canyons,
- lighthouses, churches, monuments, windmills, sculptures
- mapcards - sayings, quotes, adages, clean jokes
- book or mailbox pictures

Please 1/ NO: reptiles / witchcraft / sex or nudes / horror ... I do
have children around
2/ translate wording on the card, for languages using
hieroglyphic characters - it's only courtesy.
Wishing you all a very "happy postcrossing" travelling adventure
.....Heidy
