I am 55 years old, married, with 2 daughters ages 20 and 18. My husband is from the Philippines. We enjoy travelling and have been to the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, and Bolivia. We took our first cruise last summer to Greece and Croatia and Italy. I have been to most of the states in the US too. I also like to read, do cross-stitch, cook, hike, and garden. We have guinea pigs and a cockatiel as pets. I live in a small town and love the quietness of it.
I would enjoy postcards showing unique things about your country or area, or any type of cards at all. I also collect stamps, so any pretty ones are appreciated. I love birds and guinea pigs and other cute animals. And I love surprises! If I visit your town what should I do there? What should I see?
I like to send cards as much as I like to receive them. I think part of the fun of postcrossing is to try to pick out the perfect card for each person or tell them something that they may be interested in. If you received one of my cards, I hope I have succeeded in this.
I love direct swaps and I will swap with everyone who requests one and gives me their address. I also love to have regular penpals and have found some on this site. And I still write to 2 penpals that I have had since high school.
I am having great fun meeting and connecting with people from all over the world. I love to hear about you and your life and what you like to do. I think this is a great way for people all over the world to meet others who are different than they are, because I think most people from any group are good and nice. The more we know each other, the more we realize that we are more alike than different, no matter what country/religion/race/other group we are from. Maybe postcrossing can help build world peace...
Also in view of the political situation in this country, I feel I must say something. I do not like him. I did not vote for him. I realize he is the current resident of the White House but I cannot call him president because he doesn’t act like one. I think he treats the rest of the world terribly.
Thanks and happy postcrossing!!
