About os-fable...

Hello!
My name is Olesya, 36 y.o., teacher at the University. I live in a small town in Ural. I like to read, to knit, to watch good films, to walk. We have a dog - black Labrador. I'm also very fond of decorative and applied arts and like original handmade things. I like flowers - tulips, daisies, peonies - but I don't like roses, I consider them to be flowers without soul (if flowers could have one).

I don't demand what postcards I want to receive, any card is welcome :) What you write is more important. But I always pick a card according to the addressee's preference list, so I'll be particularly pleased if smth of the following is pictured in your postcard (and I particularly like illustrations and watercolors):

*smth associated with your country: a) maybe, symbols like English ravens, Dutch tulip fields and windmills, American bald eagle, Canadian beaver or maple leaf, etc; b) cartoons/books/ fairy-tales/ mythology characters (illustrations/ drawings) like Czech "Krtek" (how I like this cartoon!), the Grimms' tales characters, Astrid Lindgren's "Karlsson", Scandinavian vikings, etc

* knitting (ex. illustrations/drawings like knitting ladies, balls of yarn with needles, knitted things etc, i.e. smth associated with knitting)

* hedgehogs; foxes; wolves; raccoons (illustrations/ drawings of them are also welcome)

* tulips, camomiles, dandelions, sunflowers, peonies

* retro cars

* old or original houses

* vintage, retro things

* unusual (!) sights of your place (write a brief story about them), NO tourist postcards, please

* your customs

* beautiful nature (especially spring or autumn)

What I don't like:
* TOURIST postcards
* Holidays cards (exception are "Happy New Year" postcards when appropriate, and birthday postcards in May)
* churches, museums, monuments etc.
* anime
* pop art
* angels, esoteric themes, religion

And it would be wonderful if you wrote about some of your traditions, interesting facts or even legends, what your favourite book is, your favourite film, your hobbies, your likes or dislikes :)

Happy postcrossing!
