hello to the one, who's reading it -)

my name is Olya and i am a Photography student, living in Hatfield, United Kingdom. i guess that makes it easy to figure - i'm interested in taking pictures of people and places, film photography and seeing things from a different angle.

another passion of mine is cinematography, i should confess that i am a cinemaddict with a very serious and sometimes sceptic attitude towards movies. i would list 'El Maquinista' and '25th Hour' as my life-time favourites.

travelling would be what i call the love of my life, something that is essential to me and i need it as everyone needs air. i am highly interested in both seeing and reading about new places, so don't hesitate to write a lot (if you don't mind, of course). i would simply love to know some things about the place you live in and about the way you see things around.

anything else to add? i think the best postcard is the one that tells something about the sender and expresses his/her personality, which i am interested in! and of course, i would also love to read about your favourite place in the city you live in (just in case i'll be around one day to see it with my own eyes).

i am also a huge deer lover, therefore i would really enjoy receiving postcards with deer be it photographs or illustrations!

the next big love of mine would be retro postcards made of some old photographs or adverts, pin up girls, black and white images.. pictures that remind people of those good old times, when everything seemed so charmingly different, you know what i mean.

being a photographer somehow defined my preferences: i prefer illustrated postcards over photographic ones, hence any types of graphic illustrations mostly make me excited. minimalism and graphic art is something that i especially like.
