About Olga...

Hello, everyone all across the world!

I'm Olga from Voronezh, a city in central Russia.

I am a teacher of English and have worked at a university for five years. I am really passionate about languages which I think are a true miracle and I'm fascinated to learn more about how they work to get an insight into lives and cultures of people speaking them.I am learning French and Italian an trying to improve my German that I did back at the uni.

Three years ago I won a Fulbright scholarship and spent a year doing research in Northern New Jersey, U.S. It's been a very amazing experience and I was happy to be able to meet so many interesting people from around the world and learn about their cultures.During my time in the U.S. I lived very close to New York and never stopped being fascinated by its diversity!

Right now I am teaching English online and doing research on bilingualism and identity. You are welcome to check out my new professional Instagram account at @olgalit_english

Another passion of mine is travelling and writing about my travelling experiences on my English-language travel blog. Travelling is amazing at opening your eyes to the world. I've been to Belarus, Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Portugal, Japan.
I feel so privileged now to have been able to make so many beautiful memories in all of these amazing places and take a little piece of them back home with me.
.
I love reading books, newspapers and magazines in English because I've always dreamed of being a journalist or a writer. I also try to get local newspapers wherever I travel. If it's not too much trouble for you, I would be absolutely happy and delighted if you could put in a piece of a local newspaper or a tourist brochure into your letter.

It makes me really happy to be part of this amazing idea to exchange cards with people from around the world and get inspired by them and their stories. I think for me what matters most is not just a card but a person who sent it to me. Please tell me about you and take me on a trip to your part of the world with your card. Most of all I love:

- city views
- historic landmarks and monuments
- palaces and castles
- ocean/sea views
- anything showing something typical of your country (particularly national costumes)
- airplanes
- romantic cards (yes, I'm a romantic at heart...)

I always try to find out more about places I get cards from and that gives me more travelling ideas and dreams. I can't wait to get your card and learn about you. So the more you write on your card, the better!
