I live in Minneapolis Minnesota which is located in the upper midwestern part of the US next to Canada.. My state, Minnesota, which means the "Land of Sky Blue Waters" in the native American Ojibway language. Minnesota is known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes".

I grew up in Wichita Kansas, a central Midwestern US state, and moved to Minnesota with my husband 54years ago. I have a family that includes two adult daughters and one son who all live with their families not more than 10 minutes from my home. I feel very lucky indeed to have them all close by. Three of our four grandchildren are now in college.

We live near one of the beautiful urban lakes in our city, Lake Harriet. Our home is 118 years old. We live on a wonderful block filled with very friendly people. We have an annual Block Party in September which goes from brunch to late night bonfires in the blocked off street.

I am retired now but spent my career as an artist selling my artwork...ceramics, prints, paintings and handmade paper art through galleries and art festivals. Now I am very involved with creating art quilts. I also love gardening and enjoy the change of seasons in this winter friendly area of the US.

I am in three book clubs and also play tennis quite often with the Senior Tennis Players Club in my city. I also love playing pickle ball and golf. I do some sewing nearly every day and have made hundreds of baby and single bed quilts which are donated to charities through a Minnesota Quilting Guild project titled' "Quilting for Others:" I often say that sewing keeps me sane in this crazy messed-up world !

I love making and receiving handmade art postcards. But will be thrilled and thankful for all types of postcards. Receiving postcards from all over the world makes me very happy!

I am so pleased to have found Postcrossing and being a part of this postcard exchange group! It has enriched my life in many ways.
