About Noël...

~*~*~*~*~*~

Hello!

My name is Noël (they/them). I am a queer, non-binary person from Renton, WA (but was born/raised in Syracuse, NY). I’m a graphic designer, marketing specialist, and resin artist (@arcanum.dice on Instagram) and have worked in the arts for over a decade. I have dual-Masters degrees in Arts Administration and Museum Studies and majored in East Asian Art History and Photography in my undergraduate studies.

Some of my favorite pastimes are trying new foods with friends, writing short stories, reading fantasy/science fiction/danmei (Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Brandon Sanderson), playing Dungeons and Dragons (and watching Critical Role, Dimension 20, The Adventure Zone), playing video games (Animal Crossing, Dragon Age, Baldur’s Gate 3), going to museums (my favorite artists are Andy Goldsworthy and Vincent Van Gogh), making art (watercolor painting, printmaking), and baking.

I also love spending time with my husband and our two cats, Bella and Toby. ♥

I was a Rotary Exchange Student in Yamagata, Japan (Oe-machi) from 2006-2007 and my husband and I lived in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany (Düsseldorf and Duisburg) from 2018-2019. I love to travel, and have been to Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, and 30/50 states in the United States.

I am also the founder of the Puget Sound Postcrossing Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/pspg.postcrossing/

If you play Pokémon Go, please feel free to add me: 6105 3756 9633 (High Plains)

♫ This year I would love to learn more about your Postcrossing journey (pick as many questions as you want):

• How did you learn about Postcrossing?
• Do you write/collect postcards outside of Postcrossing?
• How large is your postcard collection?
• What’s the “rarest” country you have received a postcard from?
• What is your favorite postcard and why do you love it?
• Why do you participate in Postcrossing? (ex. to collect blank postcards, to collect stamps, to learn about other countries/cultures)

I collect a number of postcard themes:

♥ drawings of food/drink
♥ subways, trains, railways
♥ drawn maps (incl. metro/subways)
♥ urban sketches/watercolor landscapes
♥ post boxes
♥ shaped cards
♥ vintage ad cards from 50s-60s Hotels/Motels
♥ USSR space posters/astronomy
♥ funky/weird art
♥ meetup cards
♥ cartoons (Sanrio, Krtek, Moomin)
♥ hummingbirds, sea turtles, deer
♥ LGBTQA+ cards, erotic photography (men/women), pinups
♥ women in traditional clothes
♥ mermaids, magic, tarot, astrology (Capricorn/Year of the Dragon)
♥ PostalLove's postcards (ie. "Greetings from...")

Handmade and ad cards are always welcome.

• I love postcards decorated with stickers, washi tape, and drawings.
• I love stamps that are shaped, holographic, embossed, or depict food/drink (if you are from Norway, I would love to get the Myths & Legends stamp from your country).
