My name is Noël. I am located a few miles outside of Seattle, WA, along Lake Washington. One of my favorite things to do is have tea by the fireplace with a good book. Usually with my cat, Bella, curled up next to me.
I have lived many places (Syracuse, NY; Yamagata-ken, Japan; Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany), but the Pacific Northwest has always called to my heart. There is nowhere more beautiful, in my opinion!
I own my own graphic design business, called Ingraphica. I love to design postcards, and have created several for the local Puget Sound Postcrossing Group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/pspg.postcrossing/), which I founded in 2016. I have dual-Masters degrees in Arts Administration and Museum Studies, and majored in East Asian Art History and Photography in my undergraduate studies; I have worked in the arts for over a decade, and spent several years working at the Seattle Art Museum (my home away from home).
I have many hobbies: I recently started casting resin dice (@arcanum.dice on Instagram). I also do hand embroidery, watercolor painting, and printmaking. I am an avid writer, and roleplayer, and have entered several fiction writing contests. I also collect postcards, dice, and Animal Crossing merchandise. As an exchange student in Japan, I studied the tea ceremony (茶の湯), and spent many years working at a tea house in New York. I also love to cultivate houseplants, and have a growing collection.
I identify as queer and polysexual, and have been an LGBTQA+ rights activist for over decade.
I collect a number of postcard themes:
♥ drawings of food/drink
♥ subways, trains, railways
♥ drawn maps (incl. metro/subways)
♥ urban sketches/watercolor landscapes
♥ post boxes
♥ shaped cards
♥ vintage ad cards from 50s-60s American Hotels/Motels
♥ USSR space posters/astronomy
♥ funky/weird art
♥ meetup cards
♥ cartoons (Sanrio, Krtek, Moomin)
♥ hummingbirds, sea turtles, deer
♥ LGBTQA+ cards, erotic photography (men/women), pinups
♥ mermaids, magic, tarot, astrology (Capricorn)
♥ women in traditional clothes
♥ quotes, alphabets
♥ PostalLove's postcards (ie. "Greetings from...")
Handmade and ad cards are always welcome.
♥ I also love stamps that are shaped, holographic, embossed, or depict food/drink.
♥ I also appreciate tea (puerh, chai, and herbals), currency, or stickers from your country!
