Hello, you! I love Postcrossing so avidly that I have created a second account! You may have stumbled upon my other account: bhindblueeyes. If not, here's some information about me . . .

My name is Amy, I am 29 years of age, and I live in the state of Maine, which is on the east coast of the U.S. I am a full time Crime Analyst. I have BAs in Psychology and Criminology.

I love music!!! I can read notes, and I play the flute. I'm attempting to teach myself the guitar and the ukulele. I have a varied taste, but I respect all genres even if I don't tend to listen to them. A couple of my favorites are Eric Clapton and Joshua Radin (who I have had the pleasure of meeting twice)! I am always open to exposure to new artists and genres so suggestions are welcome!

Other factoids: I read a lot! (I am also open to suggestions of books and authors that I may not be familiar with)! I like a lot of sports, I'm creative and crafty with quilting and making friendship bracelets. I have cats and a rabbit as pets. I like tattoos and some piercings. Fun fact: My eyes were used in a tattoo in London, England! I love pickles, laughing, and accents! My favorite color is pink. I collect stamps and coasters from all around the world! I have recently started running, and I'm participating in various 5Ks. I have a love for the nautical, particularly anchors and mermaids!

I love snail mail; I love sending it as much as receiving! I am indeed interested in direct swaps! SO, if you would like to direct swap, send me a message!

I don't have a preference for postcards, but if you're looking for ideas:
-Music: music notes, sheet music, treble clef, lyrics
-Bright: vibrant colors and designs
-Unusual/creative: I love "inappropriate" postcards, cards that push the envelope! Language and the human form do not offend me.
-Nautical: anchors, helms, mermaids, ocean
-From the Czech Republic: Sedlec Ossuary, Krtek
-Animals: THE PLATYPUS!! cats, owls, cows, peacocks

-Additional request: I have a pinboard in my office where I pin messages of motivation and well wishes. I would love to have various notes of good luck, just a hello, or even motivational quotes from all around the world and in various languages. If it's not too much trouble to jot a note in your native language on a piece of paper for me to pin, it would be greatly appreciated! :D

-I'm also collecting buttons for various projects if you have any extra lying around :D

-Stephen King is an author from Maine and well known worldwide! I recently received a King book that is printed in Ukranian. If you have read any of his books, in your own language, and are not sure what to do with it - I would love to begin collecting his works in a variety of languages. Thank you!!
