About Laura...

Hi there!

My name is Laura.
I live in Lithuania, in a small, old and very beautiful town of Kaunas region - Raudondvaris (its name means 'the red castle', as here is an old castle of famous Lithuanian count family).
I'm a student and a volunteer. I study Italian and Romance languages (last year). I used to work in the National drama theatre of Kaunas on a voluntary basis. Also I am a workawayer (I went to work away in Italy and in Latvia).
Few years ago I was an actress in the drama theatre of my town. The biggest roles that I've had so far is Gregor Zamza in 'Metamorphosis' by Franz Kafka and Elena in 'Uncle Vanya" by Anton Chekhov.
Two years ago I joined academic folklore ensemble and I love it!
My favourite bands are Queen and The Beatles - I love good old music (also classical).
Also I always try to protect nature and to help homeless cats and dogs.

I would love to receive any kind of postcards.
My hobbies (maybe you'll find here some suggestions for postcards):
- theatre and opera,
- literature and writers,
- learning languages,
- art and photography,
- national cultures and cuisines,
- folklore and mythology,
- politics and history
- traveling
and so on... I also love nature and will be glad to receive postcards with a view of your homeland, city or landscape.

Please write me anything, I would love to know who you are, something about your country or favourite books / theatre plays, maybe some interesting facts about your country or life in common or a reason why you chose this postacard.

If you speak any of these languages which I mentioned as the languages I understand, please write me in them - that would be a great practice for me.
Incidentally, an interesting fact about my mother-tongue: the Lithuanian language is the most archaic still living Indo-European language.

By the way, I collect bookmarks. That would be awesome if you could send me one (or some) from your country (actually more than awesome!)! Then I could send you something for your collections.

Thank you for your postcards - they're very precious to me :)
Warm hugs and best wishes!
