Long live free Ukraine!
Greetings from Santa Monica, California! I'm a native Californian born in the San Joaquin Valley town of Merced.
I love to travel. I have lived in Brazil and have traveled widely in Latin America and Europe. My interests include cacti and succulents and gardening in general, as well as photography, ceramics and collecting stamps and postmarks.
I'm a poet and a longtime board member of California Poets in the Schools, a non-profit organization whose poet-teachers yearly teach poetry composition to almost 30,000 students in the state.
I especially like postcards of nature, small towns, architecture, art and places associated with poets and poetry. I welcome any postcard you would like to send.
I retired in 2012 after a long career in healthcare administration. I had a successful open heart surgery for 4 blocked arteries in 2014. Before that I didn't even know I had cardiac disease. Now more than ever I value every new day and live it to the fullest.
Remember to follow your dream and to pursue your passion in life!
