Hello, My name is Nancy, born in 1941. I live in northern Michigan, USA, and am retired from work. Past work included school teacher, secretary in the Michigan court system for 22 years, and postal worker. I like to read, garden, many hand crafts such as knitting, needlepoint, croqueting. I recently built a model of a house and many pieces of small furniture, and loved doing it. My husband is a musician of percussion -- has a master's degree in percussion. He likes classical, dixie land, and older kinds of jazz.

Traverse City is the cherry capitol of the world, on Lake Michigan, and about 150 miles from Canada. It is a tourist area, and because of sand dunes and lakes, is very beautiful. We live in a log home in the woods where we feed birds, and therefore squirrels, chipmunks, etc. Many deer cross our yard. Our home is 1 mile from a beautiful beach.

I believe we are ageless in our interests and friendships. Both my husband and I look forward to hearing from across the world with local postcards. It is the first thing we look for in the mail. He used to be an avid stamp collector. .

Just getting started with this, I'm not sure what cards I prefer, and LIKE THEM ALL, but I do enjoy:
scenic pictures of your country,
paintings or art typical of your country,
people,
pictures of your favorite places.

Perhaps it is difficult to find postcards to buy, as it is here. They are not as popular as they used to be.
