About msultanof...

I am an Elementary School Teacher. I have been swapping postcards for a long time. I started in the 1996-1997 school year. I think it gives my students a better understanding of the world we all live in. My students would like to get postcards with cartoons and graphics from other countries. I would love them to get anything that they can learn from. Whatever you send will be loved by a child in our school. At the end of the school year it is sort of a tradition to send the postcards home with the students. I will never forget that first year when we had them in a binder and the student who got it said,"I want to see everyplace in this binder when I grow-up." He really loved all of the postcards. The children like colorful stamps and postcards about what is popular for children in your country.

My Personal preference is that you not send multi-view cards. The students are young and they need to be able to see something in detail. I would love it if you shared something that you have learned about life with the children or if you have children to let them decide what to say. It is always a lot of fun to hear about what life is like in other countries. What is popular and how daily activities are different from place to place. Thank you for helping me share the world with my students.
