About Mary...
I had been to 22 countries before a medical situation resulted in my inability to travel overseas anymore. I tried cruises, which I hate. I'm more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants kind of girl and kind of adverse to people telling me where and what to do.
I live in Oregon on the west coast of the United States with my two boys and husband. Oregon is an amazing state: within three hours in each direction, we can reach the Pacific ocean, the mountains(Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier), the high desert, and the Pacific Northwest rainforest. It's such a pleasure and a privilege to live here. We have FOUR giant dogs, which may officially make us crazy: two Saint Bernards and two Great Pyrenees. My parents went to Switzerland a couple years ago and they brought us back a whole package of Saint Bernard souvenirs. That was great. My husband used to play tennis semi-pro and still plays despite rupturing his Achilles tendon a few years back. Between us, our heritage includes Welsh (that's me in Wales on an Outward Bound trip), English, Scottish, and Polish.
