Hi! I'm Katherine, a professional genealogical researcher, speaker, educator & author living in Michigan. I love researching genealogy for myself and my clients; traveling overseas and visiting art museums, antique shops, and cafes; and I REALLY love animals (I'll have my own petting zoo when I retire!). :-)

I enjoy listening to classical music (I studied music at a small liberal arts college here in Ann Arbor), and I'm basically contemporary-music illiterate. I have NO idea who's popular these days in pop, rock, country, folk, rap, etc, but I can talk for hours about Bach, Brahms, Beethoven and Vivaldi. :-) I also really enjoy classic jazz, especially the old-style vocalists like Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Louis Armstrong, and artists like them.

I LOVE reading contemporary fiction, love, Love, LOVE it! One of the hobbies that hubby and I share is a love of reading before bed, and I especially enjoy reading suspenseful psychological mysteries.

On the flip side, I scare easily and do not like things that might be considered scary or macabre, especially clowns, doll faces, robots, skulls, skeletons, vampires, witches, Halloween stuff... Yeah, I'm a wimp, but I'm okay with that. :)
