About Monica...

My name is Monica. I am a 37 year old married lady. I was originally born in Brazil but living in Melbourne, Australia with my husband Glen, baby boy Aidan and our two bull terriers, Toro and Chica. I like history, traveling and getting to know different cultures. I also love good food and wine (to eat and to cook). I joined postcrossing because I thought it would be fun receiving postcards from different parts of the world.

I am happy to receive many different types of postcards, my favorite being landscapes, city views, wilderness, nature, local animals, unusual and interesting postcards depicting your culture, lifestyle or people, artistic postcards by local artists, etc.

IF YOU ARE FROM JAPAN - I would love to receive a postcard of Hachi, the dog. Thanks!

IF YOU ARE FROM FINLAND - I love moomins!

Please write something about you and why you chose that particular postcard. A blank postcard is an unfulfilled one :)

I KINDLY ASK YOU NOT TO SEND:

Multiview postcards. I find them distracting and the pictures are hard to see. Please choose your favorite view and send me one of those instead.

Maps. I know they can be interesting to some people but I am more of a visual person, don't care much for maps.

Homemade postcards. After having some destroyed by the rain and postman's wet hands, I prefer that you purchase a postcard from a retailer as they are more durable.

FREE postcards given by venues, clubs, etc. I don't like these at all.

Advert postcards, which I believe are also given for free. They don't do a thing for me.

Cartoons and comics UNLESS they are part of your culture.

Christmas and holidays cards. I love receiving them from friends and family, from you just a lovely postcard will make me happier than any Christmas wish.

I thank you in advance for sending me a postcard :)

Check my postcard wall to see my postcards.

ALSO, thanks for all those happy postcrossers who actually care to register your postcards as soon as possible. It's good to know some people actually THINK about their fellow others. Thanks again for being a good sport!
