Married and mother of four adult children. I have two degrees in Art and used to blow glass and teach art, but now I run a small environmental stewardship non-profit. I like traveling (especially in Latin America), movies, yoga, home repair and good vegetarian food. In my spare time, I bake and decorate wedding cakes! I like outdoor activities, wilderness canoeing, camping and long bike rides. I've biked across Iowa twice for RAGBRAI. And wait, there's more - recently, I did a huge mosaic for a bathroom. It's on all four walls, and I have to admit it took way longer than I thought it would, almost 18 months, but I didn't work on it every day or even every week. I also renovated an 1881 Victorian house for my daughter. So much fun and I got to buy a lot of new tools!

We live in the suburbs of Washington DC, right on the city line. But it's very wooded where we are and we have a really large yard and keep chickens and bees. We also have a small and very funny dog who keeps us amused when we aren't laughing at the chickens.
