About Molly...

Hello Postcrossers!

I am a professional horticulturist working at a university greenhouse, and I enjoy growing vegetables, cooking, and cycling in my spare time.

Right now, I live in the wonderful city of Madison in the state of Wisconsin. Madison is the capitol city of Wisconsin, and it is located next to two large and beautiful lakes that are frozen in the winter. The quality of life is very good in Madison. The city is easy to navigate by bicycle, and there are many opportunities to experience both nature and culture. Most of the shops and restaurants are unique and independently owned by local residents. There are a lot of interesting and intelligent people in the city because of the large university that is located here.

Madison has the largest 'producers only' farmer's market in the entire United States! On Saturday during the summer, there are about 300 different stands around the capitol building selling food products that were grown and produced locally.

Wisconsin has a lot of farm land, and is most famous for its small family operated dairy farms, and producing a lot of tasty cheese, especially cheddar. Wisconsin is also famous for beer production, and there a lots of delicious beers to taste, many of which are only available within the state.

My photo shows the chalk cliffs of Nationalpark Jasmund in Germany. My partner does research with MaxPlanck in Greifswald, mostly remotely from the US, but we've had the opportunity to spend a lot of time in NE Germany.

IF YOU ARE SENDING ME A POSTCARD:

My 'WALL OF FAVORITES' are cards that I am wishing for, but DO NOT YET HAVE.
Please check here to see if you have any of my favorites, by selecting your country. http://www.postcrossing.com/user/mollbells/gallery/favourites

I really enjoy the following types of postcards, but I am happy to receive something outside of this list that you think is special.
- mushrooms (!!!)
- "sets" of various things
- greetings from...
- natural landscapes (parks, mountains, ocean, beaches)
- aurora borealis
- botanical illustrations
- animals from your region/country
- USA - anything from Lantern Press (www.lanternpress.com)
- Netherlands - Loes Botman (www.loesbotman.nl)
- Inge Löök Aunties cards ( I have 10, 11, 19, 27, 29, 35, 49, 50047, 65335)
- Pettson & Findus cards
- Czech cartoons (Krtek; O loupežníku Rumcajsovi; etc.)
- aboriginal artwork, particularly of the Pac. NW and W. Canada
- paintings (Leonid Afremov & Childe Hassam are favs)

QUESTIONs TO WRITE ABOUT ON YOUR CARD:
-What is the most important lesson you have you learned from your dating and relationship experiences?

- Does your country have freedom of speech?
- Are you allowed to publicly say you don't agree with your political leaders?

I do not support the Trump Administration. As the United States' political climate has drastically changed these past 3+ years, I find myself wanting to pose the question:
-What do you or people you know think about my country?
