About mmerja...

Hi fellow postcrossers!

I´m 28 and I worked at post office for many years so I´ve seen a lot of postcards going on their journeys :)

I live in Finland and the variety of our stamps is big, and I mean big! This data is based on customers at post office which tell me that other countries don´t have that much to choose from what comes to stamps :D And on top of that you are able to design your own stamps if you want to!

Things that I enjoy/ like
- vintage (like everything vintage -art, paintings, photos, furniture, kitchen and kitchen utensils, bags, shoes etc.)
- retro (same as in vintage)
- nature and being outdoors
- animals
- learning from other cultures and languages
- unique postcard designs
- stamps
- being cosy (when it´s cold outside and you lay under big blanket with your woolen socks on (gonna tell funny story about woolen socks and Finns later) and a warm cup of tea on your hands is the best thing in the world!)
- dragons :D

Aaand here is the story of woolen socks as promised:
So I was flying alone and I sat on a window seat. I always keep a pair of woolen socks with me when travelling because I tend to take of my shoes off when flying but then my feet gets cold. Well I did take my shoes off and I put on my woolen socks. Nothing special there. But the couple sitting next to me was also on the next flight with me and we were sitting next to each other again! What are the chances?! Well they greeted me and said that we think that now we can talk because it would be weird not to :D I asked where they are coming from or going to. They were a Finn and a South African. The South African told me that they were wondering am I from Finland but when I took out my woolen socks they where 100% sure that I was a Finn! :D
So yes, we wear them a lot (also in summer believe it or not :D). And we own many pairs of them (we get them from our grandmothers, relatives and friends who knit). Gotta love woolen socks <3
