About Marja-Liisa...

I was 44 years old when I started postcrossing (putting it this way I don't need to rewrite my profile every year. Hah!)

Motto (taken from a song): "Take it easy baby, take it as it comes."

For those who enjoy wish lists (I do! If you don't, stop reading!) here are some things that I like:

- Christmas cards, even sent after Christmas all through January is ok
- horse sculptures, bull sculptures, lion sculptures
-photography (especially black and white, present day shots more than vintage, but really good vintage ones are ok, too)
-libraries, and portraits of people reading
-hens and roosters (but not baby chicks that much, and no Easter bunnies)
-metro stations, (Russian ones that I have: Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Arbatskaya, Mayakovskaya, Tanganskaya-koltsevaya, Park Pobedy, Ploshchad Revoliutsii, Novoslobodskaya, Annino, Vorobiovy Gory, Aviamotornaya - Moscow)
-night views
-cathedrals (especially interior views)
-decorative patterns (fabric designs, wallpapers, painted ceramic tiles, TARTAN, and such)
-plants and flowers (but no flower arrangements, ikebana etc)
-streetsigns, instruction signs ("exit", "push", "no parking" etc), neon-lights
-Beijing opera characters
-kathakali dancers
-classic Japanese theatre

US (specials):
- state flags and state maps. I already have a card with all state flags, but individual ones are still wellcome.
- Native American culture
- buffaloes
Canada (specials):
- territorial flags; I have a card with all of them now, but individual ones still welcome

...well, I could continue this list forever, but enough for now.

Please, no touristic holiday-on-the-beach scenes. Also: I hate sport events of all kinds, but sports as such are ok. Also, I don't like having the stamp on the picture side of the card.

Politics and religion are ok for me. No need to avoid them!

My favorite music: Frank Zappa, Baden Powell, Sergio Mendes, Pat Metheny, Caetano Veloso, Paolo Nutini and many more of many different genres. I like even church music, Bach is aahhh!

Du kan gärna skriva på svenska. SVERIGE är ett av mina favoritländer!
