First of all, what a great idea! When I was a young girl I used to have penpals in South Africa and The Netherlands. This "postcrossing" kind of reminds me of that time. Real live mail instead of easy electronic mail.

My name is Lida and I live in Leiden, a beautiful "old" city in the Netherlands. Working as a receptionist/helpdesk employee in a very international surrounding at ESTEC in Noordwijk, part of ESA (the European Space Agency) In my free time I like to be creative: making cards, photography, a bit of painting. I love to read a lot (especially historical novels or history in general) and to be outdoors, especially along the beach and in the dunes. But my real passion is egyptology. Studying the culture and hieroglyphics. I've been to Egypt 7 times, visiting not only the main attractions and monuments, but also parts of Egypt that are less familiar to travellers. I don't have a real preference regarding the postcards you send me, but pictures from your country, frogs or ancient egypt would be nice.
