About Mike...

Greetings,

Any postcard subject is welcomed!

Here's some ideas that might be useful in choosing a postcard:

Natural scenery of your town, area or country-especially of provincial or state parks.

Architecture, outdoor statues, monuments, fountains, historic city centers or streets.

Art works of any artists or eras. Film directors, actors, musical artists or movie posters.

Local or national dishes, foods or recipes.

Humor or quotes. People of note from your country. Military or war themed.

Hobbies include: Listening to Music/Watching Movies (Late 19th Century to today)/Cartography/World History/Nature (Animals-Trees/Plants-Geology-Weather)/Humor (Comedians/the Art of Comedy/Puns).

Likes: Courteous, Humorous People/Nature/Thrift Shopping/Food From Other Cultures & Nations/Reading (especially History and Biographies) /Viewing Works of Art/Ice Cream/Maps & Atlases/People Watching/Window Shopping and much more.

I am employed with a major U.S. trucking company, storing shipment paperwork and related documents using a computer. Also there's part-time work some mornings stocking shelves-for a nationally-known pet supplies store.

Life happens in Bentonville, which is in northwest Arkansas plus in the region with the city of Fayetteville. Originally from South Dakota. Time has been spent in Denver, Colorado and the Chicago, Illinois area.

NW Arkansas is a combination of urban, small town, and rural with much natural beauty. Despite Arkansas' reputation culturally and politically, there are a good deal of decent people due in part to a major university in the area.

Walmart's home office is located in NW Arkansas. With all the concerns and issues of the humongous and invasive company, having it here is a good thing. The business provides jobs both within the company and by the various companies working with Walmart. And brings in people from around the world to live/experience the area, and that cultural contact is a big bonus. And Walmart contributes locally through charities and seasonal events.

The NW Arkansas area is within a day's driving distance-to the state capital of Little Rock plus Tulsa, Oklahoma/Kansas City, Missouri and Memphis/Tennessee.

Happy Postcrossing,
Mike
