About Michael...

Hi! My name is Mikee (nickname for Michael). I live in a small, quaint city called Cavite City. It's about an hour away from Manila (usually two hours because of the traffic, haha). Our city's famous for its Carabao Milk Cheese, Rice Cake, Bibingka, and Tamales.

I work as a Web and Software Developer in a digital agency based in the Philippines for 2 years now and I studied BSIT when I was in college.

I love sports. I do basketball and swimming (swimming most of the time ever since I got an injury in basketball). I watch a lot of sporting events in basketball, volleyball, tennis, and most especially F1. I'm rooting for Ferrari since I first watched an F1 race haha.

I also love video games, tv series, movies and a few books. I think my favorite book is "Mythology: Timeless Tales of Gods and Heroes" by Edith Hamilton. I'm very into Greek and Norse mythology. If you know of other myths and stories that tickles your fancy, please let me know!

As for video games, I like the classic pixel games and the Final Fantasy series. I'm more of an RPG player than an RTS one. Oh! I also like Legend of Legaia, if you know that game. It was my favorite game on the PS1. I really like TV series and movies that leave me mind-boggled, and those with plot twists at the end (e.g. “Hannibal” the TV Series or “The Sixth Sense”).

I also love memes, puns, dad jokes, witty jokes, reference jokes, and dark humor. They’ll either make me say "Oh no you didn't..." or make me chuckle for a good while.

I am very passionate about food. Like you can literally bring me any place that has good food and it'll be heaven for me. Most of the time, I go for Italian, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican food but I'm also interested to taste other cuisines around the world.

Speaking of food, it would be lovely if you could send me a postcard of your favorite local food/delicacy and tell me why it's your favorite. It can also be about a local tradition and why you do it. I think it would be nice to know about other people's culture, tradition, and local cuisine through postcards =) But basically, any postcard is fine by me and will be greatly appreciated! Happy Postcrossing!
