About Granier...

Hello the friends !
I live in Paris with my husband and my cat. Now I am retired but I go on teaching french litterature to students (remedial courses) and foreigners people. I was a french literature teacher in an high school and university. My usual hobbies are reading, visit exhibitions, go to theater and cinema. Above all, I love to send and receive illustrated envelopes (mailart). So, if you like it too, be cool : draw something, cut and stick. No need to be an artist
.
You can send me what you want but, for pity 's sake, no sunset on a lake or herd of cows in a meadow.. I'm afraid we have the same in France. Choose something particular of your country, and please NO MULTIVIEW cards. Thank you.!

You can look at the themes below. Don't limit you at my "favorites" on my wall because I have just decided to extend my interests.
.
- Any vintage card of people at their work (in fields, factories, streets of cities, anyway)
- Handcraft traditional artistic objects (for example, painted ceramic eggs, boxes or spoons, embroided clothes ...)
- architecture detail (typical windows, carved doors, original roofs of houses or churches...)
- Illustrated cards by artists of popular tales of your country (Russia : Y. Vasnetsov or Bilibine, Mawryna - Finland, Inge Löök - Japan, Utagawa Kuniyoshi - India : the English illustrator Warwick Gobble)
- Funny means of transportation formerly or today
- Traditional holiday of your country or your city with some words about it.
..
As you, I am happy to read something on the back of cards. I understand that for some people who don't speak well english, It is really difficult. However, most of postcrossers can write better than "Happy postcrossing !".
Please, if you can, tell me something about your card :: what it represents, why you chose it and, for tales, its title (english better for Cyrillic and chineese writing) and its author.so that I can look on internet.. .
Difficult to develop one or two interesting ideas on a short postcard. So you can, if you want, send it in an envelope. It allows to unstick stamps for my collection without damaging the card.
....
" A letter, you didn't expect it and now it jumps on you as a small wild one joyful. That's happiness for a day !" Thank you !
Michèle
