I like to read books, graphic novels and comic books. I watch a lot of movies and television, and listen to a fair amount of music. In other words: I'm trying to be a scholar of popular culture. Retro or Advertising or Pop Culture postcards are great, but getting any postcard is fun!

One of my favorite things to do when I travel is go to used book and record stores. I think you can tell a lot about a place by looking through the stuff people get rid of!

One thing you can tell me is a common saying in your country. If you do it, write it in English and in your native language so I can learn it! Also, what does it mean?

For example, growing up I always heard my mother say:

"A watched pot never boils."

It means that when you sit around and wait for something, it seems to take longer than if you busy yourself doing other things.
