Hello Earthlings!

I'm a middle school science teacher, nature photographer, and former national park ranger.

I started this postcard exchange at my school to give my students the opportunity to experience these wonderful glimpses into the lives of people around the world from many cultures. Many of them have never traveled outside of our area, making each postcard a magical and exotic treat.

Students earn the privilege of writing a postcard by being good classroom citizens and participating well in their education. They will also take turns reading incoming cards to the class.

I'll apologize that some of the cards we sent out may suffer from poor handwriting. We try our best and it's always good practice for the kids.

As a science teacher, I'd love to see things about the natural ecosystems, plants, and animals which live near you. But, of course, we love seeing anything about life, history, culture, and art in your country. When we have a large enough collection, we will share the cards with some of our social studies classes so they can be put to use as they study the world.
