About Matt...

I am a postcard collector who loves all types of cards, especially the older ones and hand tinted ones, as well as cards of art works (paintings, sculptures, art photography, museums, etc..) and of architecture, both modern buildings as well as traditional.

I live part of each year in the Dominican Republic, and would love to receive any cards related to the Dominican Republic or from those in the Dominican, as well as cards from or about other parts of the Caribbean or Central America (particularly Cuba and Nicaragua). And I like maps of all kinds (both old and new).

I also read a lot, so cards related to books, authors, and the like, or related to history or historical sites. I love England, Scotland and Ireland as well as English, Irish and Scottish history and literature. I love classical music, so any cards related to classical music, composers, instruments, etc. would be appreciated.

If you are going to send a postcard of your town or country, I especially like cards shot from above or from the air that give a birds-eye perspective, and in particular of highways and highway interchanges. And if you're creative, I love hand made cards, cards of photos that you've taken, and the like, so don't be shy about sending something creative, unusual, or hand made! Finally, night view cards are always nice too, or Gotochi cards.

And if you have any cards of Manatees, I would love to get a card of these beautiful creatures, whose conservation I support.

However, these are just recommendations based on my background, any type of card that you have or wish to send is great by me!

You can also check my 'favorites' to see the types of cards that I like, but if you sent me a postcard, don't be offended if you don't find your card in my favorites, as I do not 'favorite' any cards that I receive. I instead use my Favorites as a 'wish list' so if you see a card in my favorites you will know that its one that I have NOT received yet but would like very much so please feel to send a card from there if you have one!
