About Peter...

Hello and Happy Postcrossing!!!

I am Peter, living in the city of Hannover, Germany, but originally from the UK.

Hannover is the biggest town in the north German region of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony), a population of 523,642 and twinned with cities around the world, including; Bristol (UK), Perpignan and Rouen (France), Poznan (Poland), Hiroshima (Japan), Blantyre (Malawi) and Leipzig (Germany)

A few landmarks here include the Neues Rathaus (New City Hall), the beautiful Herrenhäuser Gärten, and the Maschsee (a big lake in the centre of town). The region of Niedersachsen also has many beautiful smaller towns including Goslar, in the Harz mountains, Lüneburg, Göttingen, Hameln, and Celle.

About me: I am quite down-to-earth and well-travelled, with many varied interests. I like collecting postcards and stamps, reading about history, traveling, photography, nature, astronomy, learning about different cultures and human stories from around the world.

I am quite flexible when it comes to which postcards I wish to receive, just as long as there are no advert cards sent. To get some idea of what I do like though here are some suggestions:

* Single views of a landmark in your city.
* Nature views (something typical of your country as a whole).
* UNESCO World Heritage sites.
* People in traditional clothes.
* Food/national dish that is unique to your country.
* Castles.
* Places of worship (cathedrals, churches, mosques, temples etc...).
* Sports stadia.

****PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY ADVERTISEMENT OR FREE CARDS, PRINTED CARDS OR TOUCH-NOTE POSTCARDS*** THANKYOU***

If you could include a nice stamp on the postcard too, that would be great.

You are welcome to write some little-known fact about your country on your postcard, or just tell me about your day.

Have a great week and Happy Postcrossing everybody!!!

Peter
