We are Maisha and Melissa. We live in the Pacific Northwest in the United States, where it is rainy and delightful. We live with three other students and our extra-toed orange-and-white cat named Thursday. We like gardening, cooking vegetarian and gluten-free, and hugging.

Maisha just graduated from university with a degree in Gender Studies. In university she studied abroad in Kenya and Tanzania. She is preparing to go back to school to get a teaching degree in Early Childhood Education so she can play with kids forever. She does artwork, photography, blogging, poetry, and social justice work.

Melissa is studying French at university, and she just returned from back-to-back study abroad programs in Nancy, France and Dakar, Senegal. She likes seaglass and admires produce. She is a piano goddess, and especially enjoys making music with friends.
