About Sabine...
I like receiving good old snail mail in my letter box (well, that is except for bills and advertising materials … ) and I am glad that other people do, too! Sending and receiving postcards into resp. from all corners of the world is a lot of fun!
Please do send postcards without envelopes - I like postcards with stamps that show the journey the postcards have taken.
About the postcards I send
It would be good if your profile has some information on what postcards you like because I will always check what kind of postcard puts a smile on your face. If possible, I'll pick one that matches your list.
About postcards I'd like to receive
I am not so picky about postcards, although there are some I don’t like - so please do not send offensive cards, military motives, or ad cards.
Perhaps this short list in random order gives you an idea what kind of card to pick:
• Nature: plants (especially trees), landscape, animals, mountains, beaches
• Natural phenomenon: lightning, sunset, polar light
• Aerials and maps
• Black & white
• Paintings, mostly impressionist and expressionist
• Inge Löök (Aunties series, Garden series) and Minna Immonen
• Illustrations by Tolkien (drawings/paintings by JRR Tolkien himself, especially of The Hobbit), Sven Nordkvist (Pettson & Findus) and Ilon Wikland (some of Astrid Lindgren’s books)
If you can’t relate to any of the list items above, why not surprise me? If you need inspiration, have a look at my favourites. I also like self-made postcards if they do not involve “mass production” and pre-printed standard texts but are done individually.
Please don't send postcards in an envelop or folded cards. I like "real" postcards with stamps showing the journey.
If you don't know what to write - why not share a recipe or tell me why you chose the postcard for me? Or write something in your language (with English translation)? Or perhaps a drawing?
I am looking forward to your postcard! Thanks for taking the time and sending it to me!

P.S. If you receive a postcard from me - please do not delete the picture of the postcard I uploaded. You are welcome to replace it if you have one of better quality but otherwise please leave the one I placed.
