I’m just a small town girl, living in a suburban world. I took a train ride once from NYC, NY to Oceanside, California (4 midnight trains, going here to there). I love to send and receive mail, and consider myself an eternal student of life, soaking up knowledge and information like a sponge soaks up water. I speak moderate Spanglish (+ English) though I’d like to learn Greek and Mandarin. I love to travel but spend more taking my two kids to the airport than I do traveling myself these days. I do tax accounting for a living and although I’m not a CPA, I love the consulting work I do now in real estate and tax credits.

We have 3 cats and a dog at our home in a small suburb outside the city of Portland, Oregon along the US west coast. I have lived in six different states in the country and love experiencing new places, trying new foods, playing games, discovering new music/artists, or learning the history of an area.

I’m a follower of Christ, but not associated with a religion or denomination. I rest assured in my faith to keep me strong, at peace, & hopeful. I am an adventurer who enjoys taking risks and staying active by hiking, snowboarding, swimming, paddle boarding, wake surfing, theme parks, riding scooters, roller skating, chasing my husband on his one wheel, and photographing: scenery, people, architecture, flora/fauna, weather phenomenon…anything that catches my eye.

We love sports! I’ve played soccer, basketball, street hockey, volleyball, softball, and tennis.

I love music and play the piano & guitar. I have played drums, & flute too. I love to write for fun, blogs, journalism, schoolwork, technical tax memos, and letters. I really enjoy hearing about memories, stories, puns, jokes, poetry, and fiction, and reading most genres (no horror/sci-fi).

I’ve been collecting international postage stamps since I was 8 or 9 years old. I love looking up at the stars and watching astronomical events (meteor showers, eclipses, phases of the moon, etc) finding constellations & planets (I can see Jupiter from my yard), & plan to see the Aurora borealis one day soon!
