About Linda...

Kia Ora, Hello my name is Linda.

I currently live outside the capital city of New Zealand, Wellington. I operate heavy machinery (20 - 65 ton excavators, 40 ton+ Dump trucks and the other machinery) for a living (for around 26
years). I also have a university degree (Bachelors of Sociology), however, I enjoy what I do, as it not only gets me outside doing something very few women in NZ do but I have the best of both worlds, both my academia and operating big machinery. :-)

I live with my partner, on a rented 170+ acre block on which we have 14 sheep (one is mentally damaged due to a horrific birth - her name is Tulip), 26+ beef (The Big Fella - a 900kg Steer and Breaker a 500kg steer), 2 cows ( named Mystery & Ni), 1 peahen (Darling), 1 guinea fowl (Spotacus), 1 pet goat (Jools), 2 dogs Kash & Raulf, and 1 cat Fatboy. Most of our animals are rescued and therefore will not be killed. We pride ourselves on giving all the animals the best we can provide.

My hobbies are cross stitch, reading, postcrossing, art, travel and cars. However, I get little time to do these things, instead spending most of my time on the land tending the small farmlet.

I love travelling and have visited so far .... The Netherlands( 1973, 1995, 2016, 2017), Finland and Costa Rica (2016). I have also been to Belgium, Germany, France, Indonesia, Fiji and Australia. One day I would like to say I have ticked every country off my bucket list. :-)

I do not have any particular type of postcard like or dislike, so just send me whatever it is that YOU like, and I am 100% certain I will too. :-)

I especially enjoy getting mail. In today's technological age the art of giving and receiving a letter (or postcard) is a dying form, of which I would hate to see lost. Thus this site and all it stands for is fantastic. I look forward to sending and getting postcards from around the world, and I hope you all enjoy receiving mine.

I cannot put up photos of cards so if you are able, that would be fantastic, and thank you in advance.

***PLEASE NOTE*** I am currently working away from home a bit, so if I do not register your card in a timely manner, please don't PANIC. I will as soon as I get home. Thanks all :-)
