About José...

Hello Postcrossing friend!
I'm José from the Netherlands. Ever since my teens I have loved sending and receiving post. And the postman even brought me the love of my life, for my husband is one of the penfriends that I had in my youth. And now we are married 49 years and still very happy with each other!
We have three adult children, two girls and a boy. And also two granddaughters (5 and 2 years old). They all bring a lot of joy in our life and it makes me very happy that we see them often.

My greatest hobby is reading. I love books!!! But I also like making handmade cards, dancing (ballroom and line-dancing), watching movies and series, cross-stitching, playing board games, go for a walk (especially on the beach). And of course Postcrossing, I always hope my card will bring a smile on the face of the person that receives it.

My own favourite postcards are the ones with
- hearts or anything heart-shaped
- people under an umbrella or anything else with umbrellas
- blue cats drawn by Irina Zeniuk
- books (just anyone and everything with books)
- snowmen (all year round)
- fairies, elfs or witches
- people dancing
- romantic scenes, hugs, kisses
- funny or humorous things
- the old ladies from Inge Löök
- cats drawn by Valérie Michaut from France
- castles
- fountains or large waterfalls
- bicycles
- polar bears, giraffes
- shells or beaches
- "Fun Facts” cards from the USA
- a quote, expression or saying (please translate in English)
- Christmas and birthday cards in December
- handmade cards are also welcome (new inspiration for me!)
- or take a look at my favourites (some I’ve already received, others I would love to receive)

But if you don't have such a card, don't worry, for every card will be a joy to receive. But please, don't leave the back of your card empty, that makes me sad. The more you write, the happier I am! For I would love to know a bit more about the person who is sending me the card. You can tell me about your hobbies, your family, your most favourite book, the last movie you saw, things that make you happy, why your chose the profile-name you have, what you did today or anything else you want to share with me.
