I like postcards with art on them (especially impressionists or ballet), Paris/french postcards, postcards with a beach near you, postcards with wolves, postcards of water or bridges, postcards of old-fashioned hats or dresses, and postcards of people, books and food. Also if you have any odd-sized or shaped postcards I'd live to receive those.

I love it when people tell me something that they love (a thing or an experience; I especially enjoy hearing about what music you like), something interesting that happened to you today, a friend or someone close to you, a word you love, something that makes you laugh, a pet, what your address means (like street, state, house number etc) or even a drawing or doodle!

I love reading, writing (mostly creative writing and poetry), painting and drawing, music (I play classical piano and listen to almost any kind of music except for heavy metal and mariachi), blogging, writing letters, being outdoors, swimming, singing, cooking, photography, animals, dancing, and old-fashioned dresses.

Some of my favorite authors are Jane Austen, Sarah Dessen, Sharon Creech, Laurie Halse Anderson, Emily Dickinson, Tamora Pierce, Libba Bray, Lauren Myracle, Laura Ingles Wilder, Zylpha Keatley Snyder, Cynthia Rylant, and J K Rowling. I read mostly fiction, a little fantasy and sci-fi, a teeny bit of chick lit, and some memoir.

Random obsessions include Alice Paul, Paris (and anything to do with France), Julia Child, black and white polka dots, the ocean and beach, flip flops, summer, curtains, daisies, and doodling hearts. Not the live kind. :)

I love blue, aqua, and sapphire; I'm a life-long vegetarian (the only meat I've ever had is beef and turkey jerky, years ago); I've written a novel; I love laying in the sun reading; and I still read the newspaper.
