About Kristina...

Hello!

My name is Kristina and I live in Thornton, Colorado (a suburb of Denver, the capital). Denver is located along the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains and I love being able to have a mountain view every day. One day, I hope to have a cabin in the mountains that I can go to escape from the day-to-day.

I work in accounts payable at a company that specializes in outdoor content and encouraging people to be active and get outdoors!

I have a 16-year-old son named Greg, who is now in the 11th grade. He is my life! My son has been doing karate for around a year now and he recently encouraged me to start karate with him, so we are both working on earning our black belts together.

I have two dogs and two cats and love having animal companions (most times). Both cats and one of my dogs were adopted from a shelter (not as puppies or kittens) and being able to give an adult animal a forever home is very important to me. All of them have their own, unique personalities and thankfully they all get along.

My favorite part about Postcrossing is picking out postcards for people that I think they will like. I enjoy opening my mailbox and being surprised at the cards people choose for me. I feel like we are spreading kindness and joy all over the world! I have no preference on what kind of card I receive or how I get it. That's all part of the surprise!

Things I enjoy (in no particular order):
* Animals, especially baby animals
* Art Nouveau
* Bears (polar bears, black bears, grizzly bears)
* Historical buildings (castles and churches are fascinating)
* Learning about people, places, and how they came to be
* Pens, paper, and just office supplies in general
* Podcasts (I mostly listen to true-crime, facts, and history ones)
* Quotes and words
* Reading (my favorite author is Ken Follett)
* Short road trips and exploring
* Trivia
* Writing (handwriting and typography)

If you're stuck on figuring out something to write, please tell me a little about yourself, where you're from, something unique about your country, or a little-known fact that you think I might find interesting. If you have a favorite quote (in English or your own language), I would love to see it!

Happy Postcrossing!
