Hey! My name is Renārs and I'm 22 years old
I am working as a cartographer in Jana Seta Map Publishers.

In my free time, I like to watch others playing computer games at professional level (e-sports) or play them myself. For the past 10 years it has been usually Counter:Strike, Minecraft, Wizard101, Fortnite and Call of Duty. Sometimes, I rather to return childhood times and play Shrek 2, Praetorians, Hitman Blood Money, Test Drive Unlimited, NHL 09.

Physical activities have always played a huge role in my life. I was an ice hockey player for a long time. Then, at 16 years of age switched interests to athletics, especially long distance running. In 2022, I have discovered an orienteering sports, where I can combine my interest to maps and running, also develop fast thinking. Recently, I have learnt to ride a longboard.

Besides my daily work, mapping OpenStreetMap (OSM) is also one of my hobbies or activities to "kill time", because it has become so handy that you can add data to map such as points, lines and polygons by using phone. My favourite application for that is "Every Door".

Since 2022, every November I've been participating in #30DayMapChallenge where each day you are given a certain theme and have to make a map about it.
In general, I love to play around different geospatial data and sometimes share my results in twitter.. oh, sorry X, right!
