- I am a 50 year old Scottish criminal defence solicitor who enoys travelling to far off lands & meeting people, when I have the time. I always buy lots of different postcards when I travel to remind me of the places I have visited and I think this is a fantastic idea to be able to exchange postcards all around the world. I am so much looking forward to receiving postcards from all over the world and hope to maybe receive a card from Egypt as it is to date my favourite country. I just thought that the pyramids were amazing

I love the work of Anton Pieck and would love cards of his work. Also old maps, globes, antique glass especially old bottles, art deco pictures, nouvelle images,books, nasturtium flowers and carousel horses.

In my spare time I enjoy reading- going for walks in my local park or walking on a beach for I just love the sea. I also very much enjoy gardening in the summer and have a garden with two apple trees, a pear tree and two cherry trees. My garden brings me a lot of pleasure and I love to watch the birds that appear in it and especially the foxes whom I see every day. I am a big animal lover. I also love dogs and still miss every day my last dog, Kel, who lived till she was 16. She was a Heinz 67 breed! Work commitments, however, mean that it would not be fair for me to have another dog just now. I also collect antique glass and old poison bottles and items from the 1920s and 1930s as I just love anything art deco. I would love cards of old medicine/poison bottles. I enjoy therefore going to car boot sales and rummaging about in charity shop in hope that I find a piece of old glass or anything else vintage that catches my eye. I live in hope of finding art deco pieces.

I love getting post and in particular anything different or unusual makes me very happy. I also love animals and of course anything to do with the art deco or art nouveau period in time (1920s to 1930s) is just so wonderful for me to receive. I will always be over the moon if I receive an art deco card, as I understand that art deco pictures are not so easy to find. In particular would love cards of art deco buildings. I would love one day to receive a card of the Taj Mahal in India for it a place I have dreamed of visiting all my life. I also love beautiful pictures and really beautiful cards from Japan and China would be just great. Especially love wild animals(would love a fox card) and Moomins from Finland. But please do not send me these thin paper cards or other that you get free from shops, exhibitions, special events, free advertising postcards etc, etc as this would be a huge disappointment to me and make me feel sad. Also awful view cards that you would not like to receive yourself. I just feel that if I can take the time to go and purchase proper and nice postcards then everyone else using postcrossing can have the courtesy to do the same. No FREE POSTCARDS OR AWFUL VIEW CARDS, PLEASE.
