Hello, I'm Laina.

I'm a 39 year old mother of a 10 year old boy, and 7 year old girl. I'm also a children's educator for a science museum. I like to be outside in nature, or to be home playing games with my family. I travel often for my job. I lived in Scotland (Edinburgh, right near the castle) for a few years and was able to travel to many places in Europe. I've also done many missions trips to Central America. I currently live in Ohio, USA. Our house is near Lebron James, a famous basketball star.

My son adores hockey. He likes to help pick out cards, and likes to find locations on the globe. It's fun to imagine the path each post card might have traveled, by boat, car, plane, and then by foot. My daughter is vegetarian and loves animals and riding her bike. She is just learning cursive writing. Write to her in cursive if you’d like!

We love all kinds of postcards. We hang them up, and share them with friends. I am so touched by the messages people send. My favorite postcards are of narwhals, horses, ladybugs, pug dogs, collie dogs, nirvana, Rube Goldberg machines, religious art, sound of music, Scotland, tacos, and the wizard of oz. These cards are very lucky! My kids would really enjoy Disney, lego, maps, hockey and cartoons, but we treasure them all. Whatever card you find interesting will be great fun for us to receive.

I like to travel and usually pick up the post cards that I send from my travels and mini adventures. Lately I've been buying antique/vintage post cards - there is something magical to me about sending 100 year old post cards!
