About la_luna_pusa...

I'm Nina, a Chinese-Filipino from Manila, Philippines. My home city entered 1 year's worth of lockdown on March 16.  I can buy groceries, visit malls, or exercise outdoors. Because of the increase in COVID-19 cases and the very slow vaccination program, uncertainty looms in the horizon.

Despite the bleakness of the pandemic, I appreciate monumental events like the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Our country won the Olympics gold medal for the first time through 55-kg weightlifting champion Hidilyn Diaz. I tried to buy postcards of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics logo but they're out of stock. If you send me a postcard of the Tokyo Olympics, please write a return address so I can send you a postcard in return.

Meanwhile, I pass time by taking up a comics making workshop. I cut back on social media to improve mental health. I keep a lockdown journal and sketchbook to record my new normal experiences.  Sometimes I play Dungeons and Dragons online through the Discord server. I try to spend at least 30 minutes among the few trees in my neighborhood (if restrictions are relaxed). I get around the city by walking and taking public transportation.

Feel free to write anything about your current life situation in the midst of the pandemic. (examples: Has life gone back to normal (even if you need to wear face mask) or are you still locked up at home? Do you have concerts and other events? Are you able to celebrate your country's or culture's festivals?)

Please write the date on the postcard.  Mail can be very slow because of the limited postal staff.  I have received postcards as long as 5 months or almost a year.

Thank you very much for your postcard and message. I look forward to reading your stories.

Optional:  I left this list of my Gotochi and Greetings from postcard collection to avoid duplicates.  I don't actively seek them out. But if you decide to send me any that's not on my list yet, thanks a lot! Just write your return address and I'll send you a postcard in return.
