About Olga...

Hello a Stranger who just got my address!
I'm Olga. My real passion is history and architecture! Once I volunteered for Buchenwald Work Camp Memorial. But I'm interested in other voluntary and charity international programs and opportunities.
For now, I send cards to sick children. You can do it, too. Check on

THERE ARE NO REASONS FOR WAR EVER!!!! I'm praying for Ukraine (and Belarus)!
I'm asking you not to write anything related to war and politics on your cards for me. BTW, cards in envelopes are often opened by the customs service here. Let's just exchange cards and support during this sad and dark time!

My favorite cards are those that show typical views of YOUR place (I mean, from your country), maybe, even cliche cards!!! Impress me with the architecture and nature of your cities/towns/villages for me to make up my must-visit list! That's what I appreciate most! Only real images, no paintings, please.
Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Faroe Islands, Greece, Portugal are my top 10 travel destinations!
Anyway, every country is unique, and I'm very much interested in receiving cards, that show this uniqueness.
I also love photo-like or painting-like cards showing
❤ Lighthouses
❤ lavender fields (as a view card)
❤ kids
❤ Christmas (in December)
❤ birthday cards (in January)
❤ figure skating (no real skaters, only painting-like cards or retro/vintage ones, please)
That would be great if you could check my faves (they are the cards I don't have... yet :))

Don't consider it rude, but I feel like I have to share a list of cards I'm not so happy to receive. I'm not picky, I just want all of us to respect each other's wishes. Thanks for understanding!
So, I don't really like any of the cards showing
❌ countries you DON'T live in (e.g. places where you spent a vacation or happened to visit once - because I've already received repeated cards with different country codes)!!!
❌ animals, birds, people (whoever they are!!!!)
❌ food, drinks, still-life paintings, and photos
❌ abstract illustrations or drawings, book illustrations, cartoon characters, movie characters, museum exhibits
❌ space views, space map views, bird-eye views (when you can't see anything in the picture), super zoomed-in images
❌ symbols, logos/trademarks, book covers,
❌ card-size national flags or state emblems
❌ some "funny", "humorous" cards with funny writings on them
❌ handmade/self-printed cards and ad cards!
❌ Postcrossing meet-ups

I'm sure, there are admirers of these cards, but I am not one of them!
When in doubt, send a cliche tourist card - a view, a building, a church, a park, etc. It always works!!!

Happy Postcrossing to you, my Friend! Can't wait to hear from you!

PLEASE, write your names on the card in an easy-to-read way. Stay Safe!
