I'm a researcher in molecular biology. I used to dream of being a wizard and this is still my secret dream. An illusionist I mean.
I have an insane imagination and sense of smelling. I love staying up late at night pretending to do something productive but just wanting to make the day longer. I like people, prickling conversations, disturbing humour, just as much as having a quiet evening at home with a good book, a cup of coffee and a purry cat on the knees. And music! I have very eclectic taste, from classical to hard rock. Some favourites are The National, Mannarino, Manu Chao..
By the way, if you're also a bookworm I'd love to hear a recommandation of a novel from your country: there are so many literatures I have never read and would be curious about.
As for the cards, these are some subjects I really enjoy:
-people! (working people, portraits, famous writers and musicians, photography...)
-missing UNESCO whs sites (I lack these sites:
-interesting sights or sceneries of your area
-a bit unusual, out of the ordinary, colorful, special, vintage cards.
-black, wicked humour
-local traditions, street scenes.
-animals, especially unusual, exotic
I love cards which express emotions.
It would be great if you have time to check out my collections and send me something new to them. I have to say I am no big fan of ad-/free/selfmade cards. Easter/Christmas cards aren't my favourite either. But everything will be wellcome of course.
so there you are, lost in the writer's block and about to surrender to the typical 'greets from.. happy postcrossing': come oooon write me something which is not in tourists guides.
-5 random things about yourself. They don't have to be necessarily deep or significant, just 5 things.
-what is most important in cappuccino? The foam? the coffee?
-your favourite perfume
-a cool website
-why you do/don't like the place where you live
-a music recommandation
-2 good things about today
-plain, scattered thoughts. Whatever you have in mind, no explanations, no hellos and best wishes.
Of course happy postcrossing will be wellcome too. But I really appreciate if you enjoy the card, before I do.
Thank you in advance for cheering up my postbox!
