I signed up for postcrossing because it's such a nice thought to make someone's day a little brighter by sending a postcard!
I work for a nature conservancy organisation, PR department. I studied political sciences and journalism, and besides nature (and postcards!) I love to read well written articles in magazines, and I admire brillant photos which tell a story. I love tea (if properly brewed - there can be done so much damage to tea! ;-) ).
My profile pic shows me at the Berlin Pride Parade. I like to dress up and put on fancy make up. Unfortunately this takes too much time for a daily routine, so I love to go crazy with earrings instead :-)
♥ ♥ ♥ First things first: I will enjoy every card you've picked and written with love. ♥ ♥ ♥
For me your message and your words are as important as the picture - I'm curious about your view to the world. Or tell me about the card - where did you get it, why did you pick it, what is special about?
There are so many beautiful and interesting cards in the world I haven't even dreamed of. Feel free to surprise me! In general I love unusual, crazy or even bizzarre cards. My fav wall shows cards I like but haven't received yet: https://www.postcrossing.com/user/killewips/gallery/favourites. I don't mind duplicates. Every card is unique by its back with your message to me.
The only kind of cards I'd rather *NOT* receive are self made multi views, including special designed meet up cards put together like that.
Do you already know, which card you'd like to send? Brillant! No need to read on! :-)
Just in case here are some more specific ideas. Just guidelines, no demands.
- Autumn is my favourite season and I'd be delighted to get a card with anything about autumn. Colourful leaves and forests, of course. But also mystic landscapes in fog, autumn in a city, rubber boots, animals, cobbwebs with dewdrops, twilight, rain and wind and flying kites... and anything else you personally connect with this season.
- I like anything spooky, melancholic and dark, especially Halloween and Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos. I also love cards about any other local holidays and parades with fancy costumes like Carnival, Mardi Gras, celebration of Chinese New Year,...
- I have a crazy passion for flying pigs :-)
I once was joking, that no one would ever find a card with a flying pig... look what happened: https://www.flickr.com/photos/killewips/collections/72157683093342220/
- I try to collect state map cards from the US.
Here you can see my little collection: https://www.flickr.com/photos/killewips/collections/72157682850676021/
It's not important for me if they're sent from state of origin or even from the US - I just enjoy the image and your message!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm looking forward to your card! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
It would be nice, if you'd put your postcrossing name on the card.
