Dear Sir, Madam, Miss, Mister or little one,
Wherever you are, in a land away

I am a teacher, from the USA
Born and raised by the San Francisco Bay
I studied English, and books of old
And now live by a pavilion gold

I’ve often dreamt of faraway lands
Of the people there, and adventures they’ve planned
Castles and fairies, tall-masted ships and the Eiffel Tower
The different clothes and beautiful flowers

Send me a picture,
Worth one thousand words
And tell me your story
That’s waiting to be heard

Who are you, and where are you from?
What do you dream of, in the future to come?
Or perhaps instead, a story from a time long ago,
From you to me, a little tableau

There are so many places out there,
I might never see
A whole world of which, I’m unaware
Please share it with me, so that I might be
