About Geeske...

Hi, my name is Geeske and I am so happy you got my address by Postcrossing. I just love mail, it makes me happy. When I was a little girl I was waiting on the stairs for the postman to come...
And even now... many years later (😉) I get that same feeling whenever I see a letter or card in the mailbox.

Let me tell me a little bit more about myself. I am 44 years old and I live in a tiny little village in the Netherlands. My husband and I have 3 kids together (20-19-16 yrs).

I love to cook. I have an AGA cooker in my home and can't live without it anymore. I like to cook healthy dishes, but I am also a sweet tooth, no day without chocolate 😋. I also love all kinds of herb tea.

You can often find me reading a book. That can be a thriller or a novel, but I also love to read cookbooks and books about health and psychology. Please tell me what your favorite book is!

Things I always fancy to know that you can write on your postcard:
- 3 things you like most and 3 thing you don't like of your country
- What's your favorite book?
- What's your favorite quote?
- What's do you see when you look out of your window?
- What's your favorite recipe?
- What's your dream?
- Where would you like to travel one day and why?

I really appreciate a personal note, not just a “Hello and greetings”.
I am curious who is writing me a card, I’m interested in YOU. 😊

I love:
- cards with fairies or other lovely magical creations
- cards with a theme: tea - books - sleeping - mail - birds - the moon
- amazing nature/landscape cards
- cards with an inspiring quote on it
- buddha/spiritual cards
- cards with Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights
- vintage cards
- square cards
- close up portrets
- black and white or sepia cards
- cards of Gollong, Marie-Anne Foucart, Jehanne Weyman, Lena Gnedkova, Anna Silivonchik, Inkognito, Mila Marquis, Editions des Correspondance, Inge Look, Sven Nordqvist and the Blue Cat.

I’m not so fond of 3D cards, multi view, touristic or handmade cards, unless they are vintage style or in nature colours.

I would be happy if you tag me when sending out my card!

I would appreciate it if you send your card in an envelope.
I collect all those beautiful stamps and I don't want to ruin your card when I cut out the stamps.

A bag of tea from your country is also very welcome, but please don't feel obliged!

Thank you for your effort, I am looking forward to see your card!!
