I live in beautiful Portland, Oregon, USA with my wonderful husband Scott. We were married in 1981. I am a retired Episcopal priest and was ordained in 1978. I had a Spanish speaking congregation the last 13 years of my ministry that I loved very much. Scott is a civil engineer and will retire in July.
I am very busy with gardening, photography, quilting and music. I enjoy playing the piano, flute and penny whistle. I am learning the Celtic harp.
We have 2 dogs. Daisy is a golden retriever and Kermit is a mix, golden retriever and probably Rhodesian ridgeback. Daisy is a Diva and Kermit is a real gentle woosie dog. They are 5 years old.
We have 1 daughter; Rebecca who is 34 yrs. and is a mechanical engineer and an awesome quilter; loves Dr. Who and goes to a lot of movies, operas and camping.
We have 2 10 month old kittens that we adopted from the Humane Society. They named them Elizabeth Swann "Pirates of the Caribbean movie" and James Bond. Their cat tree is "The Pearl." The cat tree in the living room is MI6.
I'd thoroughly enjoy any postcard. I still have 100 postcards that my grandmother gave me 60 years ago and I have collected postcards through the years of places I've visited. I finally put a lot of the collected postcards in with my to send postcards. I now look at them a whole lot more rather than when they were sitting in a closet (for years). I love Postcrossing!
I grew up in Oregon and have lived in Arizona, Washington state, Illinois, and Michigan. My husband and I have lived in our neighborhood since 1981.
I very much enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and from all over the world.

On behalf of my country, I apologize for what happened here on January 20, 2017. It is still hard for me to believe that the despicable Donald Trump is now our president. Every day, his behavior becomes more disgraceful. Please know that I and the majority of Americans who voted do not support anything that this man represents.
I would also appreciate a piece of fabric to put in a quilt.
I love it when you write a lot about whatever. I have no order of preference:
Beautiful postcards where you live. Multi-views are fine too
Postcards that show something about your culture
Dogs, Cats, animals
Holiday, Especially, Halloween and Christmas
Weird, Unusual Anything you would like to slap a stamp on
