About Annette...

I live in beautiful Portland, Oregon, USA with my wonderful husband Scott. We were married in 1981. I am a retired Episcopal priest and was ordained in 1978. I had a Spanish speaking congregation the last 13 years of my ministry that I loved very much.
I am very busy with gardening, photography, quilting and music. I enjoy playing the piano, flute and penny whistle. I am learning the Celtic harp.
Daisy is a golden retriever and Kermit is a mix, golden retriever and probably Rhodesian ridgeback. Daisy is a Diva and Kermit is a real gentle woosie dog. Whatever Daisy wants, Daisy gets. Kermit doesn't have the ridgeback personality at all. They are 5 years old. We have 1 daughter; Rebecca who is 33 yrs. and is a mechanical engineer and an awesome quilter; loves Dr. Who and goes to a lot of movies, operas and camping.
We have 2 young kittens that we adopted from the Humane Society. They named them Elizabeth Swann (Pirates of the Caribbean movie" and James Bond. Their cat tree is "The Pearl." The cat tree in the living room is Secret Headquarters.
I'd thoroughly enjoy any postcard. I still have 100 postcards that my grandmother gave me 60 years ago and I have collected postcards through the years of places I've visited. I finally put a lot of the collected postcards in with my to send postcards. I now look at them a whole lot more rather than when they were sitting in a closet (for years). I love Postcrossing!
I grew up in Oregon and have lived in Arizona, Washington state, Illinois, and Michigan. My husband and I have lived in our neighborhood since 1981.
I have always taken public transportation a lot and very much enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and from all over the world.
Please put the date on your card.

I would also appreciate a piece of fabric to put in a quilt.

I'm enjoying a wide variety of post cards. And I love it when you write a lot about whatever. I would like in no order of preference:

Mucha cards
Beautiful postcards where you live.
Postcards that show something about your culture
Dogs, Cats, animals
Humor
Transportation
Gardens
Shaped postcards
Weird, Unusual
Music
Bridges
Folk Art
Gotochi cards
Jetoy
Holiday, Especially, Halloween and Christmas
Beautiful photography
Trains, airplanes, transportation

I love all my cards. I favorite all my cards because they are all special and some awesome person took the time to send a postcard to me!
I love reading profiles! Everyone is so dear and unique.

I scan almost all my postcards coming and going so that I have a file on my computer. So I hope you aren't offended if I use what I scan in for one reason or another, like the color on my computer. Please do not put the ID on the bottom of the postcard because the US post office covers it with a bar code and then I can't read the
