About Karen...

Hi There,

My name is Karen and I am a friendly and over-excitable soul, found living in the quaint south-west of England! I am 37 years old, working as a teaching assistant and living with my lovely husband Rob and our adorable Boston Terrier, Scout.

I am ardent about many things. Besides my family and friends, my true passions involve the arts. I am a big fan of music and I love going to concerts. I also regularly attend the cinema and spend a lot of my spare time dabbling with a needle, a pencil or a glue gun!

I find writing profiles quite challenging, so in true 'High Fidelity' style, I'll list my 'all time top fives' so that you can get a gist of what I am all about!

All Time Top Fives

ANIMALS: Dogs, giraffes, cows, penguins and birds (garden types e.g. robins, sparrows etc.)

BOOKS: The Little Prince, A Confederacy of Dunces, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, The Good Fairies of New York and any Adrian Mole book.

BUCKET LIST: Milk a cow, visit each continent, see the Aurora Borealis, do charity work abroad and learn how to play 'our wedding song' on piano (I'd have to learn the piano first - lol)

DRINKS: Milkshakes, ice-cream floats, Cherry Coke, Irn Bru and fresh lemonade

FILMS: This Is Spinal Tap, Boyhood, Napoleon Dynamite, Little Shop of Horrors and The Station Agent

FOODS: Ice-cream, peanut butter, black beans, olives and mushrooms

MUSICIANS: Teenage Fanclub, The Libertines, Sugar, Lemonheads and Weezer

PAST-TIMES: Concerts, cinema, drawing, visiting restaurants and listening to music

PLACES: Home, seaside, zoos, riverbanks and anywhere with a good view

TV PROGRAMMES: Alan Partridge (any series), Sons of Anarchy, King of the Hill, The Wire and Parks and Recreation.

Before I bore you all with my endless lists I'd just like to say that I'd like to receive any type of postcard, but my favourites would have animals (except snakes), cartoons or anything cute on them (I am quite childish and I still love Dr. Seuss, Peanuts, The Muppets, Sesame Street and Spongebob!). I am very grateful to receive any postcard and I look forward to hearing from you, hopefully very soon.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Karen :)
