I like to write, mostly short stories or fanfiction, read, putter in the garden, cook and listen to good music. Good music usually means rock, jazz and traditional Irish music... My reading is varied, but I love fantasy and I have a decades-long love story with Tolkien's works, especially the Silmarillion. My latest obsession is with the anime Yuri!!! On Ice and a manga called Black Butler. And, um, the TV show The Untamed is a great favourite too. Is this what's called branching out?
Thanks to Yuri!!! On Ice I am also into figure skating. My favourite skaters include Yuzuru Hanyu (#1!), Shoma Uno, Evgenia Medvedeva, Alina Zagitova, Javier Fernández and Adam Rippon.
I have recently developed an obsession with medieval church art, and can be found snapping photos of archangel and dragonkiller murals in local churches on any given day.
I enjoy cooking, especially Indian food, I also like dark (preferably Czech) beer or a nice red wine. And I won't say no to a glass of single malt!
I recently and unexpectedly lost my husband, and as a result of the loss I took up postcrossing again. I live with our two daughters in the countryside, sharing the house with three cats, a dog and the odd dust bunny. And books! Too many if you ask my family...
