About Kathie...
I'm a keen nature photographer and live in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, Australia. This is a very beautiful part of Australia, with mountains, rainforests, bushland, sweeping hills and lots of colourful birdlife such as the Australian King Parrot and the well known Laughing Kookaburra, and wild animals such as kangaroos and echidnas amongst many others.
I enjoy nothing more than wandering around the countryside and taking photos of things I see. I also love to travel and so far have visited: New Zealand, New Caledonia, UK, Ireland, France, Japan, Canada, and one state of the US, Alaska. And more recently Mauritius and Rodrigues. I've taken photos in all these places.
If you're in Australia and on Facebook please send me a message here and let me know :-)
You can see a collection of my images at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kathiemt/ and the cards I send are professionally printed with my own images on them. I can also be followed at https://www.instagram.com/dandenong_ranges_photos/
I look forward to receiving your postcards. Things I would love to see?
Your landscapes
Your waterscapes
Your cities and building architecture
Wildlife and birdlife
Your surroundings
I'm interested in travel so show me the places where you live that tourists might not get to see, but also those famous places tourists love to visit. There's nothing like seeing something through the eyes of a local.
I am happy with cards sent direct to me in the post (without an envelope), would prefer you do write a message though. Please do not send any cards that have nudity or similar. I'd like to share these cards with young children in my family so they need to be family friendly. Thank you.
Note: Please write the numbers CLEARLY when writing my address. Some have been misread and delivered down the road from me because the postie thought the '1' was a '7'. Thank you.
P.S. I would prefer standard sized cards being sent as oversized ones just don't fit into the postcard album. Thank you.
By the way, if you've sent me a card and it's not registered, it's because it hasn't arrived! :-( Please message me to let me know if more than 45 days have passed.
